Our History

In the year 2012, following Femi and Justina's family's successful acquisition of an immigration visa through the Skilled Immigration Program of the Canadian Government, they embarked on seeking divine guidance and intervention in preparation for their relocation.

During a particularly impactful prayer session, marked by a profound visitation and the unction of the Holy Spirit, they received confirmation of their divine calling for a specific assignment in Canada. The Lord, through divine words and guidance, directed them to prepare to lead a Church, specifically a parish of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), during their time in Canada.

In answer to what would have been a similar question that Mary asked in Luke 1:34, they embraced unwavering trust in God. Believing in God's ability to fulfill His promises in their lives and in His appointed time, they patiently and prayerfully waited. They diligently served in various capacities at different RCCG parishes under diverse leaderships, including RCCG Divine Mercy Parish in Kubwa, Nigeria; RCCG Maranatha International Parish in Dubai; RCCG Rehoboth Assembly Doha in Qatar; RCCG Glory House in Mississauga, Canada; and RCCG Potter's House Parish in Kitchener, Canada.

Precisely on August 28, 2023, they received a divinely orchestrated telephone call from one of the leaders they served under, the Pastor of Rehoboth Assembly Doha 1 Qatar, Pastor Olatunji Oseni sharing his church planting vision in line with the vision of the RCCG. The call brought into remembrance what was spoken by the Holy Spirit in 2012. They both recognize the 2012 promise and become aware that it is now time for the performance (Luke 1:45).

Alas! the journey to the actualization of the Parish spoken by God almost 10 years before the time commenced. After further prayers and confirmation, and with the blessings of the Assistant Continental Overseer (ACO) of the RCCG, Africa Region 3 with its headquarters in Dubai in the Middle East, Pastor Boniface Okenwa, this glorious Parish, "The Redeemed Christian Church of God, Rehoboth Assembly, (a.k.a Glory Tabernacle)" was born. Glory to God!

This is the Lord's doing and it is marvellous in our eyes. May His name be glorified in Jesus' name.
